My blog type [Bryan]

This website claims to identify your personality based on your blog. I'm usually skeptical about such things: the claims about personality are so general they are usually meaningless. Still, I put in some random blogs on my reading list to test this site and the results aren't too shabby. My own personality description isn't completely accurate (risk taker?), but the overall results are interesting and not entirely without merit.

My blog:
The independent and problem-solving type. They are especially attuned to the demands of the moment are masters of responding to challenges that arise spontaneously. They generally prefer to think things out for themselves and often avoid inter-personal conflicts.

The Mechanics enjoy working together with other independent and highly skilled people and often like seek fun and action both in their work and personal life. They enjoy adventure and risk such as in driving race cars or working as policemen and firefighters.
My sister-in-law Anna's blog:
The entertaining and friendly type. They are especially attuned to pleasure and beauty and like to fill their surroundings with soft fabrics, bright colors and sweet smells. They live in the present moment and don´t like to plan ahead - they are always in risk of exhausting themselves.

The enjoy work that makes them able to help other people in a concrete and visible way. They tend to avoid conflicts and rarely initiate confrontation - qualities that can make it hard for them in management positions.
My friend Jared's blog:
The gentle and compassionate type. They are especially attuned their inner values and what other people need. They are not friends of many words and tend to take the worries of the world on their shoulders. They tend to follow the path of least resistance and have to look out not to be taken advantage of.

They often prefer working quietly, behind the scene as a part of a team. They tend to value their friends and family above what they do for a living.

First of all, I feel honored to have had my blog mentioned in your blog. It being the blog of such an "independent and highly skilled" person and all. Secondly, I think it is mostly right--with regard to my blogging personality, that is. I very much avoid blog conflict. Sometimes I feel like posting something even slightly controversial or letting my opinion be known on various topics. And then I get too nervous. Maybe because I don't want to offend or maybe because I'm not sure I could adequately defend my position in prose if confronted. So...I stick to safe subjects like babies and candy. :0)

I imagine that is why it describes me as someone who likes to surround herself with things that are soft and nice-smelling. I guess it also comes from the "cutesiness" of my background.

I bet you're described as independent because you're using your blog for what it was intended--the spread of opinions and thoughts--instead of a virtual scrapbook like so many others. :0)

I wonder if the part about you wanting to seek "fun and action" in your work life is a reflection of your love of bowties that has been made evident on your blog.

Sorry. No announcement. I just see a lot of really cute baby clothes and not-so-cute baby clothes so I figured I would blog about it. My blog has absolutely no purpose except to distract me from my homework.

Divine intervention? I am pretty sure He is not on your side. :-) JK. Just had to throw something typically BYU in there.

This blog personality type was completely wrong! It said I avoid confrontation. Yeah, right! I love starting arguments.

I am so glad you commented! I was just telling Sam that I don't think you people read my blog anymore. Ever since I said Obama was good but not great.
