If you are a guest at somebody's house, and you like the food, you really should say so. Unless you didn't like it, I suppose. Or, unless you ate so much that your actions speak louder than any words. Otherwise, you should always praise the food. The less you eat, the more praise you need to give. Also, don't assume that the woman has done all the cooking!
Just had to get that off my chest.

Did I mention how much I liked the stuffing you brought to Thanksgiving several years ago. I loved the addition of the rosemary. :)
Oh, Bryan. Seeing as I'm the "guest" who eats most often at your house, I suppose something needs to be said. :) I've never had a bad meal at your house; not once. Even when both you and Ellie were sure that it was so. And did you see how many of those scallops I downed? It's embarrassing, really.
Anna -- I don't consider you and Spencer a "guest" anymore. Just part of the family.
Naomi -- Glad the stuffing was so memorable!
The more you invite us over...the more we'll be able to compliment your meal :)
been a while since I caught up on your blog - you've got some great entries lately. totally agree w/you on the compliment the chef thing. it sucks to make dinner for someone and not know if they even liked it!
Did you write this for compliments? I'll join the party, the food is ALWAYS delicious at your house! Even the bowl of fruit. That's weird to say, but you guys buy good fruit!
