Update: I guess what I'm trying to say is this: People say Palin is "authentic" and "real," but to me the opposite seems to be the case. From the "maverick" talk to the "bridge to nowhere," she seems like a big act. Ironically, the only real moment of authenticity in the Thursday debate for me came from Joe Biden as he spoke about losing his wife and being a single dad.

My favorite was, "Say it ain't so, Joe."
I can see her talking with her coaches before the debate. The coach is saying: "When you get the chance, work that one in. I'm telling you, it's golden."
In that shot, it looks more like she's gassy than a wink.
I am standing up and clapping right now. I agree 100% and as a woman feel very disheartened by it!
No not gassy, just constipated. I personally feel she is simply a pawn, a very scary pawn who is willing to play the little game for whatever sake and it is not a good feeling here! I don't care if I share her name and her birth year. Something is just not right.
Pawn, authentic, gassy, or whatever else it may be, I think that she certainly knows her stuff better than Biden does.

Hi Marsh family,
Thanks for the different perspective.
I read the link to the John Lott piece. It was good to see somebody try to stick up for her, even if, in my mind, Lott wasn't very successful.
I hope all is well with you!
Best,
Bryan
